Greggs, Subway, Pizza Hut and Costa open on Brackmills

Monday 8th May 2017

Greggs, Subway, Pizza Hut and Costa are just a few of the big names now open on Northampton’s new Brackmills Trade Park.

The development, which is also home to Screwfix, Topps Tiles and Digraph comes as great news to Brackmills employees – who have been asking for amenities on the industrial estate for several years.

Sara Homer, Executive Chair of Brackmills Business Improvement District (BID), said: “We ran a series of employee workshops in companies across the estate in 2015, asking staff what they value about Brackmills and what is missing.

Their number one request was for amenities – somewhere to go at lunchtime, to pick up a snack or to meet friends during break times. We are delighted to see this development now open for business, something that will most certainly strengthen this already thriving estate.”

Pizza Hut Delivery & Express UK opened last week on the estate, creating 25 new jobs. This opening is part of a major expansion programme which will see the company open 200 new Huts over the next four years and invest around £40 million.

Philip Wood, the Hut’s Manager said: “I am really excited to be opening on Brackmills, bringing Pizza Hut’s delicious pizzas to the community. We hope the staff and visitors to Brackmills will enjoy our pizzas as much as we do and we look forward to making a positive contribution to our local area.”

Hayley Willis, shop manager at Greggs on Brackmills, added: “I’m very proud to be managing this new shop and the shop team are looking forward to hearing what the local community think.”

Richard Baker, Director at Prop-Search and a director of Brackmills BID, added: “I am delighted to have worked as part of the team to bring this development through to provide much needed amenities to the estate and the early signs are that all of the occupiers are trading ahead of their expectations.  I am also confident that the last remaining units will let quickly.”

There are six units still available of between 2,104 sq ft and 7,808 sq ft by combination.
