About us
Active Ants was founded in 2010 with the goal of making e-fulfilment more accurate and efficient with the help of innovation, automation and the use of robots. Our approach turned out to be a big success. Since its inception, Active Ants has become one of the largest players in the Netherlands with more than 250 clients and over three million orders per year. 

The founders
Active Ants’ founders and shareholders, Jean Lahaye and Jeroen Dekker, are still in charge of daily operations. These days, they focus primarily on the ongoing optimisation of the warehouse design and the further internationalisation of Active Ants.

History
Shop.nl, the Netherlands first-ever online shop, was launched in 1996. Jeroen and Jean, the founders of Active Ants, got jobs there, became shareholders and directors and embarked on long careers in the world of e-commerce. Fast forward to 2011: Jeroen and Jean establish Active Ants together, inspired by their clear vision of using extensive robotisation and smart software to become the ultimate fulfilment service provider.
