Businesses are invited to join us for this special breakfast meeting, when Brackmills BID will be joining forces with the British Army to encourage more businesses - on Brackmills and further afield in Northamptonshire - to support and sign the Armed forces covenant.
What is the covenant?
Signing the covenant means a lot more than just having a certificate on the wall. It shows a determination to make a difference, by making meaningful pledges - from offering tailored discounts, to providing employment or work experience opportunities for those leaving the services.
The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise by the nation that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, should be treated fairly and should not face disadvantages when seeking to access public or private goods and services in the UK.
The Covenant is a voluntary pledge. Organisations may choose to sign up in order to demonstrate their support for the Armed Forces Community and for the principles of the Covenant.
