Spinaclean, home of skyVac, are global market leaders in high-reach cleaning. Here, Founder Andy Whiting, talks about their passion for innovation and how a base at Brackmills supports their vision for the future.
From humble beginnings to global leader
Sitting here in our office on Salthouse Road on Brackmills, it feels a world away from when I first founded Spinaclean in 2002, back when our head office was a caravan on a farm near Towcester.
Our vision was to revolutionise the exterior cleaning market, by driving innovations in safety, cost and efficiency. The launch of our hero product range, skyVac, in 2011 delivered a game-changing method of cleaning at height.
skyVac gutter vacuums give exterior cleaning professionals greater accessibility from the ground and complete control over suction, which means the safety risks of high-level cleaning are minimised and there is no need for costly scaffolding or cherry pickers.
Room for growth
As the demand for skyVac gained wider reach, we knew we were ready for bigger premises. In 2017 we moved to the Brackmills estate where we now have two units and more than 30 staff. We like to invite our customers to visit us here on site. We want them to know and understand our products as well as we do, so our showroom allows them to get to grips with the product range, and we are always on hand to answer questions and listen to feedback at our round table meetings.
We are also immensely proud to say that we now offer the UK’s only LANTRA and CPD accredited roof cleaning course.

Over the years, we’ve built great relationships working with partners across the world, with our systems in demand as far afield as Australia. For us, Brackmills is the perfect location as transport links are second to none for enabling access to our global markets.
The possibilities are endless
In 2023 we launched skyVac Nitro, our most powerful gutter vacuum yet, which has been fantastically well received. And as we continue to innovate and develop our range, we have big ambitions to continue expanding our global reach. Our home here on Brackmills gives us the perfect base from which to dream big and we are excited for the future.
